Asheville Music Club Scene This Week

Plenty of technology and life science events and deadlines are on tap for October, and we suggest you pencil them into your calendar ahead of time.

If you’re interested in events coming up in the immediate future, check out our roundup of September events in the Triangle and in other metros across North Carolina.

(UPDATE: The CED Tech Conference has now been postponed due to the incoming approach of Hurricane Florence. A new date will be announced soon. Though the main event is postponed, the CED TechCon After Party with Pendo is still on.)

Twice a month, members of the North Carolina Biotechnology Center team will set up shop at the Frontier to share how they can help give your bioscience business the advantage. This week’s topic is: “Navigating North Carolina’s Life Science Ecosystem.”

This luncheon, held by the Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce, features a keynote from Dr. Michael L. Walden, distinguished professor and extension economist at NC State. Tickets are $40 for Asheville Chamber members; $45 for non-members.

October 10, 8-11 a.m. @The Garage at Packard Place

Every month, a handful of Queen City-based companies headline Charlotte PitchBreakfast, pitching their products and services for a total of five minutes, after which they will answer questions from the audience and a panel of entrepreneurs and experts.

IDEA PITCH is a quarterly version of the PitchBreakfast series, which includes panel participation from IDEA Fund Partners, the most active venture capital firm in North Carolina as named by CB Insights. The format of this quarterly series will remain the same as any other PitchBreakfast event, except entrepreneurs will sum up their pitches in a two-minute elevator pitch instead of a full presentation.
